William is 1 year younger than her. I know because she used to go to my school. William was in my grade and nia was in the grade above me. And if she still went to WT she would be in eighth grade now because we just got out of school

Hi Nia, I just wanted to say you are the best, meaning your personality is so so sweet. I admire how you did not get into that gossip about JoJo with the other girls. As a matter a fact you don’t join in on any of that ,even when Abby is being nasty to you and your mom. Keep doing your thing and don’t let anyone hold you back. You really got what it takes.

I am reading all these wonderful comments about Nia and noticed that there are lots of thumb downs. REALLY ! How can you be against positive statements about someone.

Nia, I have a 2 year old little girl, and when she saw you dancing she silent (and for her, that is amazing). Keep up the good work.

Nia you’re such a strong little girl, one of the few who speaks up to Abby. You’re an amazing dancer, you defiantly deserve a lot more solos :c

Hi NIA! Just wanted to say, keep up the good work on Dance Moms, and continue to be the sweet little girl that you are. I wish for you that Miss Abbey will give you more solo dances like she gives the other girl, but that will only happen if it involves a ethnic dance performance, other wise, she will continue to look you over. Your a wonderful dancer, and Abby is the one missing out. I also wish that she would stop looking to Drag Queen to model your dances after. If I see her bring one more Drag Queen in to give you inspiration, I going to scream! Your not a boy trying to act like a girl. She does not do that to the other girls, and I find it offensive my self. You could be the next great African Ballerina, like Misty Copeland, but Miss Abby will never know that, because she’s too busy trying to make Mattie a star. Good luck to you. Keep working hard, and I hope to see your name in lights on Broadway, one day.

I have been watching Dance moms since it started airing. I have watched Nia go from an okay dancer to one of the best on ALDC. I think Abby should give her a solo at Nationals this year, she earned it. I also would like Nia to know, I think she won the dance off in LA. She beat that other girl hands down. Nia you had me yelling at the TV! Keep up the good work. You got the right stuff.

Hi. I watch Dance Moms because I just can’t believe it. Anyway, I felt like cheering when Nia did what no one else seems to be able to do … went, on her own, with no public discussion beforehand, politely to Abby, with a reasonable request, stated it clearly, and awaited an answer patiently. An honorable and dear girl with a dear face, showing up every adult on the show. (If everyone behaved like she did there would be no show. I guess that’s why everything is so outrageously pumped up. Gotta stop watching. Still……)

Her mom’s discomfort was pretty understandable. Nia didn’t wasn’t offered any solo parts until the bully role came around. The only minority in the class. That’s loaded with racial overtones and her mom did the thing that any self-respecting, socially aware parent would do- not allow her daughter to be stereotyped.
